A beautiful save bye Viamonte FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sergio Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Savier having to interfere. Nereo Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eulalio Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piedri FC's Julian Matthew suffered a sore thigh after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 12th match minute, Viamonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Lizer to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Viamonte FC's Eulalio Fe got control of the ball when Nereo Abascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nereo Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eulalio Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Viamonte FC's Eulalio Fe got control of the ball when Bartolo Quintan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nereo Abascal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Eulalio Fe made a huge save. If Nereo Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Viamonte FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Fe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolo Quintan. Marcelo Savier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Tello in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Fabian Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Savier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Piedri FC's zone, Sergio Tello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Savier came out of the goal and Sergio Tello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Abascal to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Viamonte FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Emesto. Artemio Palos struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Eulalio Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piedri FC. In the 57th match minute, Viamonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Emesto to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Sergio Tello recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Savier. Sergio Tello showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Jaime Goyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Viamonte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Abascal came free, but Eulalio Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Piedri FC's Damian Etxepare got a free kick in the 74th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Fabian Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Chuan in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Savier saved Piedri FC from getting behind. In the 80th minute Fabian Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Nereo Abascal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Chuan in the 85th minute of play forced Piedri FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Savier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Piedri FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Goyo. When Nereo Abascal came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Piedri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Abascal couldn't finish the play. Piedri FC's Marcelo Savier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Chuan in the 96th minute of play. The Piedri FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Viamonte FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Viamonte FC.
