After having played for 12 minutes, Arnaldo Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiburón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Fonda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elpidio Velasco during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Tiburón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 50th minute, Silvio Etxepare sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tiburón's Bruno Suero didn't even have to move. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Augusto Panfilo made the kick off in the second half. If Augusto Panfilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Ugaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The referee ignored Polvaredas's protests and gave Abel Paskal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Polvaredas's Abel Paskal got a free kick in the 95th minute. Elpidio Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Illan having to interfere.
