Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusebio Estebe started the match with the kick off. When Cristo Eneko came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Salto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Eneko couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Mitxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Dario Sol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salto's Osvaldo Mitxel got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dario Sol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Ignazio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Dario Sol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Ignazio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Fermin Ignazio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paraní's Dario Sol. Dario Sol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eloy Menendo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Paraní's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Gomesano came free, but Dario Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Gaston Gomesano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Sol was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 29th minute, Fermin Ignazio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Gaston Gomesano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Gaston Gomesano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fermin Ignazio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Sol having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gaston Gomesano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Sol was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Eusebio Estebe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Mitxaut. Salto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusebio Estebe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Fermin Ignazio made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Victor Orain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salto and the Paraní players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Salto got a freekick which was hit by Victor Orain. In the 56th minute of the match Leonides Ur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Mitxaut showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Paraní's Eusebio Estebe in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salto's goalie prevented a goal. Paraní's Eloy Menendo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Eusebio Estebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraní's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salto the free kick. Gaston Gomesano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Dario Sol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gaston Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Sol having to interfere. Dario Sol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Ignazio's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When Gaston Gomesano came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Salto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Gomesano couldn't finish the play. Fermin Ignazio struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Dario Sol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salto. Ceferino Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dario Sol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salto's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
