When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Romulo Firman sped through Loventué's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnaldo Sarracino. In the 17thth minute of the game Mario Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independencia's Ildefonso Baladi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Independencia getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Melquiades Nesto hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Independencia's Virgilio Markel got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Bonifacio Marz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Baladi skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th match minute, Loventué was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Itzaina to maneuver through the defense. Ignacio Itzaina stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Independencia's defenders and the ball went out. Loventué appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Independencia's zone, Ignacio Itzaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Baladi came out of the goal and Ignacio Itzaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Markel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ignacio Itzaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Baladi having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Albino Horado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loventué the free kick. After a rather tough play, Independencia's Albino Horado got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute, Melquiades Nesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rdth minute of the game Mario Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independencia's Ildefonso Baladi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Txartiko was the one to do the kick off. Mario Txartiko took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ildefonso Baladi. Ildefonso Baladi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Mario Txartiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ignacio Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loventué's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Itzaina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Baladi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Txartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independencia's goalkeeper Ildefonso Baladi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romulo Firman struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Arnaldo Sarracino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independencia.
