After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Urbano Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuentes's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Lertxun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Baladi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Miro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ildefonso Baladi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albino Horado made a kick off. Ildefonso Baladi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Fiz's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Saul Fiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ildefonso Baladi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Independencia's zone, Primitivo Abeijon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Baladi came out of the goal and Primitivo Abeijon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Urbano Lertxun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Nesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Romulo Firman took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Leo Enaut to make any attempt to save it. If Urbano Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Baladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Fiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Independencia defense, Saul Fiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Baladi. The Independencia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Baladi should have stopped the shot.
