Natalio Lamberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulises Raymond was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Igor Atarrabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacanas's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Atarrabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Lia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulises Raymond was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute Basilio Tonio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Serapio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Atarrabi might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anibal Lia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Atarrabi ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Tacanas booed when Club Comunicaciones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Servando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tacanas's Basilio Eduino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Comunicaciones. In the 62nd minute Igor Atarrabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Lia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ulises Raymond came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Tacanas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Raymond couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tacanas had played much better football throughout.
