Lazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Frederico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lázaro Herauso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lazo getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Juan Normando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lázaro Herauso. Obanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lázaro Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Atilano Guter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ambrosio Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Frederico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulo Hitzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Anselmo Hustaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lazo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ciriaco Frederico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Herauso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Atilano Guter came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lázaro Herauso could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Obanta had won after a very even match.
