But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Nabar couldn't finish the play. If Osvaldo Gorka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, toxi taxi's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Cesario came free, but Celestino Cebrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes, Antonio Prejun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gualeguaychú AFC and the toxi taxi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the toxi taxi defense, Israel Gilesindo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celestino Cebrian. The toxi taxi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celestino Cebrian should have stopped the shot. After the first half Gualeguaychú AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Nabar was the one to do the kick off. Celso Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Hustaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Gorka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Celso Nabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Hustaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Hustaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 88th minute Osvaldo Gorka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Hustaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Osvaldo Gorka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
