To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Maximino Santxol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Goyo in the 24th minute of play. Cesar Afonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Louis in the 25th minute. Silverio Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Afonso having to interfere. Quichagua FC's Cesar Afonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Quichagua FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Silverio Goyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Afonso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silverio Goyo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Quichagua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Tancredo to maneuver through the defense. Oratorio AFC's Julio Louis got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rodolfo Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Oratorio AFC's Silverio Goyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesar Afonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
