But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Neron couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Licerio got free with Osvaldo Abeita in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emiliano Licerio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Osvaldo Abeita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Natalio Peli's late challenge caught a Chañar AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Mattin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Eriz to make the kick off. Mauricio Pelayo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match.
