Hugo Darien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Blasi in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Tiburcio Maore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Darien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Blasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Lucio Bingen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hugo Darien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Mino's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, La Esquina's Tiburcio Maore got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Leandro Pagomari was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Norberto Mino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Darien having to make a save. After a rather tough play, La Esquina's Justino Eskuin got a free kick in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Mino in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Darien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiburcio Maore struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Dante Iaki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Esquina. Norberto Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hugo Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Mino was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in La Esquina's zone, Norberto Mino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Darien came out of the goal and Norberto Mino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Blasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hugo Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Darien having to interfere. Camilo Blasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hugo Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Camilo Blasi made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Darien. La Esquina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 75 minutes into the match, El Capo's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Maore came free, but Dante Iaki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of El Capo booed when La Esquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
