Benedicto Orlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Muñoz 's zone, Vinicio Veronica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Xabel came out of the goal and Vinicio Veronica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Bandera AFC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Manni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Liberto. A collision led to Bandera AFC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Benedicto Orlo hit a great ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Atilano Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muñoz 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Argina in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Liberto got free with Osvaldo Manni in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Atilano Argina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Manni was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Patricio Demesio hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bandera AFC's Erasmo Claus tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Muñoz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Bidari to maneuver through the defense. In the 30thth minute of the game Hugo Rey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muñoz 's Jorge Xabel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Hugo Rey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Xabel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hugo Rey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Xabel having to make a save. Benito Liberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Manni made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Bandera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Argina came free, but Osvaldo Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Liberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Bandera AFC's Vinicio Veronica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Xabel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Bandera AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Simon Iyan hit a great ball.

Osvaldo Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Liberto in the 56th minute of play. Celso Ubarna hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Atilano Argina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Manni was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Benito Liberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Manni having to interfere. Osvaldo Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Bandera AFC's Vinicio Veronica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Xabel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vinicio Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Xabel having to interfere. Muñoz 's Jorge Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Veronica in the 77th minute of play. Hugo Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Xabel having to interfere. After 82 minutes, Elpidio Sazon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muñoz and the Bandera AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
