In the 10thth minute of the game Paulo Umea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaiken FC's David Ospin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paulo Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Kaiken FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Umea came free, but David Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Benito Bermudez put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Herminio Guillerme. In the 22nd minute of the game, Roberto Maore landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venancio Sancho during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kaiken FC booed when Horqueta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Guillerme having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Benito Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaiken FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Horqueta FC's zone, Sebastian Derwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Guillerme came out of the goal and Sebastian Derwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Herminio Guillerme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Mario Hondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benito Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benito Bermudez to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Horqueta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elvio Ermano who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Elvio Ermano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Horqueta FC's Herminio Guillerme did a great save. Herminio Guillerme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Bermudez in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Bermudez got free with Herminio Guillerme in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute.
