Roque Orkatz's late challenge caught a Fuentes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Orkatz helped the player get up and apologised. Roque Orkatz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Tadeo Urtun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Cordarell in the 15th minute of play. Ismael Tercero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tadeo Urtun made a huge save. Tadeo Urtun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Cordarell in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Cordarell in the 22nd minute of play forced Fuentes's goalkeeper Tadeo Urtun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Micael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Aznar having to interfere. Tadeo Urtun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Tadeo Urtun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Tercero in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Yerbas's Alfredo Cordarell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Urtun. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Fuentes's Tadeo Urtun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Cordarell in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes, Tomás Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fuentes and the Yerbas players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the game, one of Fuentes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tadeo Urtun went to the wrong direction when Zeledon Pello was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A hard shot by Roque Orkatz from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Tadeo Urtun's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Cordarell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Cordarell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tadeo Urtun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Humberto Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fuentes's zone, Alfredo Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Urtun came out of the goal and Alfredo Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Micael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Fuentes's Gabriel Havier in the 81st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jaime Aznar was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Yerbas through an amazing save. The audience was convinced that Ismael Tercero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeo Urtun was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. If Alfredo Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
