Quilachanquil's Roque Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Jerold in the 3rd minute of play. If Efrain Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Quilachanquil's Martin Aguirre in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Athletic Club Bilbao's goalie prevented a goal. Martin Aguirre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

If Victorino Arixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quilachanquil's Efrain Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Bernardino Caton in the 55th minute really tested Eustacio Rafel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 57th minute, Efrain Cordaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Aguirre had several of the Athletic Club Bilbao's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Eustacio Rafel as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Efrain Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Cordaro came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eustacio Rafel could save by the left post. Eustacio Rafel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Aguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Rey hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes, Victorino Arixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilachanquil and the Athletic Club Bilbao players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Quilachanquil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Arixo to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Cordaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quilachanquil's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
