After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jeppener AFC! Jeppener AFC's Carlos Tonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Ursino in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Los Picapiedras FC booed when Jeppener AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Acosta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Cosme Katia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Picapiedras FC's Cesar Virila. Cesar Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Mateo Ursino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Generoso Otoniel fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jeppener AFC's protests and gave Generoso Otoniel a yellow card for diving instead. Generoso Otoniel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Primitivo Locaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Orlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Virila having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Mouricio got free with Carlos Tonio in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Tonio made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jorge Mouricio sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute, Saturnino Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeppener AFC's Carlos Tonio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Jeppener AFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Jorge Mouricio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Tonio. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Guido Orlo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Guido Orlo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Los Picapiedras FC's Cesar Virila. Cesar Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cosme Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guido Orlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Los Picapiedras FC's goalkeeper Cesar Virila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosme Katia. After 78 played minutes Los Picapiedras FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Ekain. In the 80th match minute, Los Picapiedras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Rencio to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Katia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Cesar Virila when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cesar Virila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Katia in the 87th minute. Jorge Mouricio scored 3-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Tonio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Jeppener AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Jeppener AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Los Picapiedras FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
