In the 11th minute, Francisco Daunte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ernesto Florin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristian Bento fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrika's protests and gave Cristian Bento a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Iliana in the 16th minute of play forced Barrika's goalkeeper Ernesto Florin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Potatoe Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Domingues should have stopped the shot. Ernesto Florin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leo Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Florin having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play Barrika's Cristian Bento was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 39 played minutes Barrika got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Bento. Fausto Iliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Potatoe Team getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Vinicio Efren hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Manni to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Barrika's Donato Manni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Domingues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Iliana, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Donato Manni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Domingues having to interfere. A hard shot by Isidoro Federigo from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Raimundo Domingues's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 80th minute Leo Havier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Florin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Florin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Havier in the 82nd minute of the match. Leo Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Florin having to interfere. Fausto Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ernesto Florin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Potatoe Team's Fausto Iliana managed to work through Barrika's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fausto Iliana dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barrika had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
