In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saujil AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Haimar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Arata AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Leon Azevedo hit a great ball. Tadeo Silban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Fernando Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Leandro Ospin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arata AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Ospin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Arata AFC's Tadeo Silban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Haimar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teobaldo Clementi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Fernando Haimar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Ospin's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Arata AFC's Tadeo Silban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Haimar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadeo Silban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Fernando Haimar made a huge save. Leandro Ospin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Ospin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Generoso Urbasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arata AFC and the Saujil AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Generoso Urbasa hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Timoteo Argenis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saujil AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Argenis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Clementi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saujil AFC's Fernando Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Silban in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Argenis in the 64th minute of play forced Arata AFC's goalkeeper Teobaldo Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Haimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Ospin in the 66th minute of the match. If Leandro Ospin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Saujil AFC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Katia. 72 minutes into the match, Saujil AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Silban came free, but Fernando Haimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arata AFC's Tadeo Silban got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Saujil AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Teofilo Katia hit a great ball. When Timoteo Argenis fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saujil AFC's protests and gave Timoteo Argenis a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Silban in the 95th minute of play forced Saujil AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arata AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
