Rogelio Bernabel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 7th minute. Jose Artigas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 9th minute Rogelio Bernabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Eutropio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Jose Artigas's Gogo Gaur dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Barrow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Cebo to maneuver through the defense. Barrow's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gogo Gaur 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Eliseo Berbiz scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascual Rayman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gogo Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Desiderio Gizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Barrow's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Misael came free, but Saturnino Eutropio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Misael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Eutropio having to interfere. Gogo Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mauricio Timo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Jose Artigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Timo couldn't finish the play. When Lorenzo Gilen fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrow's protests and gave Lorenzo Gilen a yellow card for diving instead. Lorenzo Gilen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Rogelio Bernabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Saturnino Eutropio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Gogo Farias took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Saturnino Eutropio to make any attempt to save it.

Saturnino Eutropio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Gaur in the 53rd minute of the match. Jose Artigas's Pascual Rayman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Jose Artigas from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Jose Artigas's Rogelio Bernabel got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Gogo Farias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jose Artigas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Farias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Eutropio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Barrow getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cosme Cebo hit a great ball. Isidoro Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gogo Gaur might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saturnino Eutropio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gogo Gaur ran back to his position shaking his head. Gogo Gaur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jose Artigas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gogo Gaur hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jose Artigas had played much better football throughout.
