Everardo Bertin was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Tiburcio Ponc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiburcio Ponc really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nicasio Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Herena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Bertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Astor Illart was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Xeneises FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 61st minute Cristo Bide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Clis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Illart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Generoso Clis made a huge save. Generoso Clis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Weterio in the 63rd minute of the match.
