Epifanio Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Marz in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Banegas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RAYO DEL SUR's Epifanio Orlan. Epifanio Orlan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 played minutes RAYO DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Marino. The crowd rose to their feet as RAYO DEL SUR's Camilo Marino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernesto Amaya. That made the score 1-1 after 18 minutes of play. Epifanio Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Marz in the 22nd minute of play. Martin Erlantz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ermegildo Banegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, RAYO DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Marz came free, but Epifanio Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, RAYO DEL SUR's Delmiro Orti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Amaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Epifanio Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Banegas in the 40th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nepes! If Celso Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Ermegildo Banegas took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Epifanio Orlan to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nepes's goalkeeper Ernesto Amaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camilo Marino in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Amaya saved Nepes from getting behind. The supporters of RAYO DEL SUR booed when Nepes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Celso Marz could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Epifanio Orlan however easily saved by the left post. When Ermegildo Banegas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Nepes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermegildo Banegas couldn't finish the play. If Celso Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Banegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Epifanio Orlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
