Mechongué were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after COMODORO RIVADAVIA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Suero took the corner. Aquilino Jenaro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Guillermo Leobardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mechongué. After a defensive mix-up in Mechongué's zone, Jonas Martino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Bela came out of the goal and Jonas Martino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With his leg Teofilo Bela managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when COMODORO RIVADAVIA's Honorio Karmel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 53 minutes, Jonas Martino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COMODORO RIVADAVIA and the Mechongué players grew even worse after the yellow card. Honorio Karmel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Teofilo Bela made a huge save. In the 91st match minute, Mechongué was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Primeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match COMODORO RIVADAVIA got a corner. Mechongué's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
