But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Bastiaro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in La Novena FC's zone, Arturo Gau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Theobald came out of the goal and Arturo Gau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Inocencio Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Gotzon in the 75th minute of play forced Deportivo Garça's goalkeeper Alejo Baumer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Gotzon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejo Baumer came out of the goal and Anastasio Juvenal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Deportivo Garça's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Remicio came free, but Alejo Baumer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaristo Theobald was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benigno Napier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 86 minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Deportivo Garça was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Harkaitz to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, La Novena FC's Adolfo Guillelmo tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Garça walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
