Jonas Cordarryl really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Abel Beturian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Cordera. Agronomía AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Beturian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Agronomía AFC's zone, Jonas Cordarryl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Cordera came out of the goal and Jonas Cordarryl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Min took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Cordera. Manuel Cordera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Manuel Cordera made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Abel Beturian sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Cordarryl in the 36th minute of play. Manuel Cordera made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Abel Beturian sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Cordarryl in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Cordera saved Agronomía AFC from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Abel Beturian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Cordera was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 46th minute, Laureano Egun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Agronomía AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Cordera should have stopped the shot.
