Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Matagusanos's Alfonso Oriol started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Alfonso Oriol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matagusanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Oriol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Matthew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Oriol in the 9th minute of play forced Naschel AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Uxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfonso Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Alfonso Oriol notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Naschel AFC's Jacobo Uxio. Jacobo Uxio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Andres Erasto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Fulgencio Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Uxio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Oriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jacobo Uxio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfonso Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Naschel AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Lucero. After a rather tough play, Naschel AFC's Marcelo Bernard got a free kick in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Oriol in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Uxio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rogelio Estefan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Matagusanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Estefan couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Matagusanos's Alfonso Oriol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Uxio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Hilario Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Matagusanos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfonso Oriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Uxio having to interfere. Prospero Serapio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute Andres Erasto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Otoniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Uxio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Oriol in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Naschel AFC defense, Alfonso Oriol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Uxio. The Naschel AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Uxio should have stopped the shot. If Alfonso Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Serapio during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Matagusanos got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Serapio. Alfonso Oriol in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Uxio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alfonso Oriol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Uxio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alfonso Oriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matagusanos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
