In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estanquito AFC's goalkeeper Ignacio Endura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match Constantino Arnalt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Basualdo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Estanquito AFC's Gilberto Blasco got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Estanquito AFC's Francisco Ricart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Basualdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Blasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Cristos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ignacio Endura having to make a save. Ernesto Eladio might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Endura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Eladio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Virgilio Cristos made a precise shot to the right of Ignacio Endura. Estanquito AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Francisco Ricart scored 1-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Basualdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despite being the better team, Estanquito AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
