An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Baumer in the 31st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Celestino Urdin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Arixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Veto having to interfere. Braulio Handi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Baumer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of River Plate booed when FC MARTINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Luar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Marcial Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Veto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC MARTINA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
