In the 6th match minute, Matagusanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Truylos to maneuver through the defense. Anacleto Eliazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Menendo in the 8th minute of play. When Ivan Indar came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Lavalle AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Indar couldn't finish the play. Damaso Odon charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Odon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lavalle AFC! The referee gave Matagusanos a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Delmar Quentin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lavalle AFC's Roque Maidana. 0-1. Ivan Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Matagusanos's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Menendo came free, but Anacleto Eliazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desiderio Txema's late challenge caught a Lavalle AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desiderio Txema helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Matagusanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Txema to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Ivan Indar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victoriano Truylos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Desiderio Txema was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 36 played minutes Matagusanos got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Txema. In the 38th minute Jose Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Indar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Eliazar having to interfere. Anacleto Eliazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Ivan Indar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Anacleto Eliazar made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Menendo made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Ulises Paul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lavalle AFC's Jose Menendo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damaso Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Jose Menendo came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lavalle AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Menendo couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute Ivan Indar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Candido Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Evarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Maidana having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Matagusanos's zone, Ivan Indar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Eliazar came out of the goal and Ivan Indar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Eliazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jose Menendo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Ivan Indar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anacleto Eliazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. If Ivan Indar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Jose Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Indar in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Eliazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matagusanos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
