To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Loco in the 13th minute of play forced trapo's goalkeeper Herminio Odol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, trapo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Jerano to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind trapo's goalkeeper Herminio Odol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, CLUB ATLÉTICO EL PAMPERO's Albano Laffitte made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience was convinced that Albano Laffitte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Odol was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. After the first half CLUB ATLÉTICO EL PAMPERO were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Loco to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Albano Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUB ATLÉTICO EL PAMPERO's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Laffitte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. CLUB ATLÉTICO EL PAMPERO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
