When Maximo Frances came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Quilmes Atletico Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Frances couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Frances in the 19th minute of play forced Durañona AFC's goalkeeper Clemente Cordarrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Durañona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Inguma to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Oscar Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Quilmes Atletico Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Chuse came free, but Santos Hug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Patxi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Clemente Cordarrel made a huge save. If Maximo Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Alonzo Chuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durañona AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alonzo Chuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonzo Chuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Hug having to interfere. Santos Hug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Gonzales in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Quilmes Atletico Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Henric to maneuver through the defense. Quilmes Atletico Club's Santos Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Chuse in the 40th minute of play. Armando Patxi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Clemente Cordarrel made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximo Frances to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute, Alonzo Chuse made a precise shot to the right of Santos Hug. Quilmes Atletico Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Armando Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Clemente Cordarrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Quilmes Atletico Club. 82 minutes into the game, Ariel Cordarell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Durañona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes Atletico Club the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Durañona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Maximo Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Cordarrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Frances fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Cordarrel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Durañona AFC's zone, Armando Patxi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Cordarrel came out of the goal and Armando Patxi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonzo Chuse might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Hug. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonzo Chuse ran back to his position shaking his head. Moises Firmin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Santos Hug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
