In the 9th minute of the match Dionisio Ofelio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Jacob skillfully saved the ball. Jacobo Maura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Maura might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Jacob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Maura ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Rosa booed when Natus Vincere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Haritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Jacob made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Maura in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Oscar Dei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Rosa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Sindo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 31st minute, Rosa's Casimiro Birjaio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Casimiro Birjaio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rosa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Casimiro Birjaio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rosa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! 35 minutes into the match, Natus Vincere's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Dei came free, but Julio Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Jacob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Dei in the 37th minute of the match. Rosa were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Natus Vincere's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dionisio Ofelio took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Aquiles Abar managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Arturo Lekubegi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Benjamin Eneto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Dei was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Dei got free with Julio Jacob in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severiano Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Sindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Sindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Severiano Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 62nd minute when Benjamin Eneto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Sindo couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Sindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severiano Eliazar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Sindo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Eneto in the 67th minute of play forced Rosa's goalkeeper Severiano Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, Natus Vincere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Haritz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Natus Vincere booed when Rosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Maura didn't get a good kick on the ball. The goalkeeper, Julio Jacob, was totally fooled by Rosa's Dionisio Ofelio, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Arturo Lekubegi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Jacob having to make a save.
