Solid Snakes's Santos Guerrero got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Errando in the 29th minute of play forced Niedo's goalkeeper Arnaldo Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Curcio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santos Guerrero's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 33 minutes of play, Solid Snakes's Dinu Teaşcă made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Curcio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Solid Snakes's 曲荣俊 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Solid Snakes from getting a goal against them. Guido Erramuns short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got 曲荣俊 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niedo's Guido Erramun got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 曲荣俊 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Baumar in the 43rd minute. Arnaldo Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Guerrero in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Solid Snakes's Dinu Teaşcă got a free kick in the 65th minute. Guido Erramun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曲荣俊 having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Solid Snakes's zone, Anselmo Ioritz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 曲荣俊 came out of the goal and Anselmo Ioritz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Guido Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 曲荣俊 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nereo Baumar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. 曲荣俊 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Solid Snakes booed when Niedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Jacobo Gentza in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Niedo's Leopoldo Furman. When Nereo Baumar came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Niedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Baumar couldn't finish the play.
