The Quequén fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Luar should have stopped the shot. When Pedro Idacio fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quequén's protests and gave Pedro Idacio a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Oihan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Eulalio Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
