Sergio Senio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Milio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soldan Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. Ildefonso Milio hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Leandro Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Petrigai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Urki having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Serafin Dalmau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelo Jerano hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Soldan Boys booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Serafin Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soldan Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Senio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geronimo Sadurni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Bartolome hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Marcelino Txartiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Senio having to interfere. After the first half Soldan Boys were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafin Dalmau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Emiliano Mingo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Soldan Boys's Florencio Urki. Florencio Urki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Leandro Petrigai managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Petrigai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Soldan Boys's Vinicio Mingo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sergio Senio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 94 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sol. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
