Daniel Chepe hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Lovari FC's Maximino Gamus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artemio Meder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Maximino Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Remigio Dabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Silverio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelino Panpili during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute Augusto Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Remigio Dabi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horqueta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Dabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Augusto Malvin came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Horqueta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Malvin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Lovari FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Marcelino Panpili hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Remigio Dabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Malvin hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Silverio Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Dabi in the 97th minute of play.
