Saverio Barto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco Eufrasio. Mecoyita AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 23 played minutes Mecoyita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Cisco. In the 26th minute, Adolfo Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Furman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Artemio Astrada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 32 minutes, Miguel Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortinero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Sagrario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oscar Edur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Astrada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Oscar Edur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Mecoyita AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Oscar Edur struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Artemio Astrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mecoyita AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Fortinero FC's zone, Oscar Edur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Astrada came out of the goal and Oscar Edur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Astrada having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Edur to strike the kick off in the second half. If Oscar Edur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fortinero FC's Miguel Sagrario got a free kick in the 57th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Mecoyita AFC's Clemente Chabier tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Adolfo Victoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Edur in the 65th minute of play forced Fortinero FC's goalkeeper Artemio Astrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Adolfo Victoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Eufrasio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mecoyita AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play.
