The supporters of Fornidos y en Tanga booed when Palmira AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Martino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Hernando was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Oton in the 10th minute of play forced Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Guido Perico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Lauren, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Lisandro Lauren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Etxahun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Oton in the 29th minute of play forced Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Guido Perico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Palmira AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Iigo to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Guido Perico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Fornidos y en Tanga's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Macario came free, but Omar Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Lauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fornidos y en Tanga's Ramiro Elorri pulled a muscle in his back after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Cristobal Martino was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Macario to make the kick off. If Diego Txurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes, Hilario Gutxi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmira AFC and the Fornidos y en Tanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Palmira AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Gutxi to maneuver through the defense. Guido Perico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Txurio in the 57th minute of play. Diego Txurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Diego Txurio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Fornidos y en Tanga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Txurio couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Fornidos y en Tanga's Omar Etxahun got control of the ball when Placido Macario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guido Perico came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Fornidos y en Tanga's Diego Txurio. But to his dismay, Diego Txurio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Oliverio in the 83rd minute of play forced Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Guido Perico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Etxahun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Macario in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Fornidos y en Tanga got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Oton. In the 90th minute, Fornidos y en Tanga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Placido Macario fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diego Txurio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Guido Perico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Txurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palmira AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
