After 8 minutes, Felipe Rufio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picantes FC and the Rústicos Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felipe Rufio kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Rústicos Club's Edgard Igon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo Cristofol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Arturo Cristofol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Igon in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Rústicos Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Joseph to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Ricardo Martino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Benjamin Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Perez struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Ricardo Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picantes FC. Arturo Cristofol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Primitivo Hernandez's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Primitivo Hernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Primitivo Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Rústicos Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Hernandez couldn't finish the play. The Picantes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rústicos Club were winning 0-1.

After 53 minutes Rústicos Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Rufio who took care of the corner kick. Picantes FC's Benjamin Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Picantes FC's Arturo Cristofol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Picantes FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Edgard Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rústicos Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Igon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Cristofol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Hernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Arturo Cristofol made a huge save. Primitivo Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Cristofol having to interfere. If Edgard Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Perez in the 77th minute of play forced Rústicos Club's goalkeeper Ricardo Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Picantes FC's Saverio Garikoitz got a free kick in the 85th minute. Edgard Igon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Orlando Barrionuevo fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rústicos Club's protests and gave Orlando Barrionuevo a yellow card for diving instead. After 97 played minutes Rústicos Club got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Barrionuevo. Felipe Rufio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Rústicos Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rústicos Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
