Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eriberto Obeko started the match with the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Obeko couldn't finish the play. Chusca's Ciro Errando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Tiso in the 23rd minute of play. If Eriberto Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Clodoveo Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chusca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Barea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felipe Rufio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Justino Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chusca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Laffitte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Picantes FC's zone, Cristo Elija stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Cristofol came out of the goal and Cristo Elija tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes of play, Chusca's Eriberto Obeko made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Cristofol was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Cristo Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Eriberto Obeko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Obeko in the 40th minute of play. Justino Laffitte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Arturo Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Obeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Cristofol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltasar Tiso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arturo Cristofol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.
