After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Mario Chorache managed to get in a good position for a shot. catalina2008's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Chorache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zachary Skarpiak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Vincent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, 9rafaela's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Atauri came free, but Zachary Skarpiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mario Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the catalina2008 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Chorache couldn't finish the play. catalina2008's Bonifacio Atauri got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Mario Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laureano Vincent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Lopes in the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the catalina2008 defense, Nunez Solustiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laureano Vincent. The catalina2008 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Vincent should have stopped the shot. Prospero Lopes struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Laureano Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 9rafaela. Zachary Skarpiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Chorache in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Chorache to make the kick off. Nunez Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Vincent having to interfere. Laureano Vincent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nunez Solustiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Laureano Vincent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Lopes in the 63rd minute of the match. Nunez Solustiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laureano Vincent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nunez Solustiano ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rafael Tabb was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. In the 69th match minute, 9rafaela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Vincent having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as catalina2008's Mario Chorache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zachary Skarpiak. That made the score 1-1 after 75 minutes of play. Zachary Skarpiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Chorache in the 78th minute of play. Mario Chorache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zachary Skarpiak having to make a save. Bonifacio Atauri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
