Victorino Felipo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Victoriano Liher when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Dorrego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Manilan came free, but Santos Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Herrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornelio Manilan was the one to do the kick off. In the 96th minute, Cornelio Manilan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Dorrego FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
