When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Celipe made a kick off. Melchor Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Pereyra in the 60th minute of the match. Dalmacio Goito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santos Herrera. Dorrego FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Dorrego FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Herrera should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute of the match Dalmacio Goito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santos Herrera skillfully saved the ball. Melchor Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Santos Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Poker F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Fanuco to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Felipo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mateo Romo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melchor Pereyra scored 5-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Herrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Marcelino Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
