The tension between the Racing Club and the Excursionistas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Beila. Rosendo Goren made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Angelino Gudesteo sent off a good shot on target. Isidro Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Excursionistas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! 37 minutes into the match, Ceferino Xabel notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Excursionistas's Silvestre Lawrence. Silvestre Lawrence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariano Bittor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gogo Chap's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosendo Goren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Angelino Gudesteo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Rosendo Goren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Esteban Jerardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvestre Lawrence came out and tried to block the shot, but Esteban Jerardo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-6 in the 90th minute. Wilfredo Goizeder's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Goizeder helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Excursionistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Goizeder didn't get a good kick on the ball.
