Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benicio Maxin kicked off to start the match. Ariel Joachim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Mogel having to interfere. With a little luck, Salado's Reynaldo Mogel got control of the ball when Ariel Joachim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salado's Reynaldo Mogel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Martinez in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Martinez in the 14th minute of play forced Salado's goalkeeper Reynaldo Mogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benicio Maxin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Mogel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. If Honorato Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes, Salado's Isaias Roldan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximino Gasteiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salado reached it. When Salado's Honorato Mundo in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Amaná's goalie prevented a goal. Honorato Mundo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Maximino Gasteiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salado. Reynaldo Mogel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Maxin in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Honorato Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Amaná got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Teofilio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Edur got free with Reynaldo Mogel in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benicio Maxin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reynaldo Mogel came out and tried to block the shot, but Benicio Maxin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 42nd minute. Maximino Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Ofelio to make the kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Ariel Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amaná's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Joachim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Mogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Maxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute of the match Benicio Maxin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Mogel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Simon Kismi might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Mogel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Kismi ran back to his position shaking his head. Teodosio Illan charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodosio Illan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodosio Illan kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Edelmiro Tirso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Maximino Gasteiz made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Maxin in the 74th minute of play forced Salado's goalkeeper Reynaldo Mogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Salado defense, Benicio Maxin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Mogel. The Salado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Mogel should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Maxin in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Mogel saved Salado from getting behind. The supporters of Salado booed when Amaná was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Maxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Salado's Teodosio Illan got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Benicio Maxin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Amaná fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Maxin couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Ariel Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Mogel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edelmiro Tirso fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salado's protests and gave Edelmiro Tirso a yellow card for diving instead. The Amaná fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Amaná's Benicio Maxin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Nuno during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. There was no doubt that Amaná were the better team. Amaná's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
