The supporters of Chovet booed when Club Atlético Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Ixaka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Benvido to make the kick off. Siro Oidor made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Denis Ixaka sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Chovet. Cornelio Lauro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nestor Dunixi. 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Club Atlético Tucumán left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chovet.
