The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lorenzo Bikendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon James, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Victorio Abad kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Benicio Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Ramond kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Victorio Abad might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Ereinotz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorio Abad ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benicio Birjaio got free with Venancio Ereinotz in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. El fenix FC's Simon James got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, El fenix FC's goalkeeper Venancio Ereinotz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benicio Birjaio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Abad in the 33rd minute of play forced El fenix FC's goalkeeper Venancio Ereinotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Celino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute of the match Nemesio Venceslas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lorenzo Bikendi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, El fenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Abad came free, but Venancio Ereinotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Victorio Abad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Venancio Ereinotz. That made the score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. If Victorio Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorio Abad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Venancio Ereinotz having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Primitivo Lizar made the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Bikendi made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Simon James sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Bikendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Lizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primitivo Lizar in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Bikendi saved Monte Grande F.C from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon James got free with Lorenzo Bikendi in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulises Domiku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Venancio Ereinotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benicio Birjaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Monte Grande F.C's Benicio Birjaio in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El fenix FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Benicio Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Simon James managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El fenix FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon James was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon James received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lorenzo Bikendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El fenix FC's Primitivo Lizar got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon James got free with Lorenzo Bikendi in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Primitivo Lizar struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Lorenzo Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El fenix FC.
