Artemio Arnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Duardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Olivar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pablo Esdras came out and tried to block the shot, but Sergio Olivar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. After 34 played minutes San Lorenzo Arenales got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Nafarroa. In the 35thth minute of the game Teo Duardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo Arenales's Artemio Arnas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 minutes, Astor Bilbo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canalla Thunder and the San Lorenzo Arenales players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Astor Bilbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Generoso Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Canalla Thunder booed when San Lorenzo Arenales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sagrario didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pablo Esdras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. San Lorenzo Arenales's Artemio Arnas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo Arenales from getting a goal against them. After 62 minutes of play Canalla Thunder's Astor Bilbo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of San Lorenzo Arenales booed when Canalla Thunder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Bilbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnulfo Celino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Esdras having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Canalla Thunder got a freekick which was hit by Teo Duardo. The audience was convinced that Teo Duardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artemio Arnas was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 72nd match minute, San Lorenzo Arenales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sagrario to maneuver through the defense. Teo Duardo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Teo Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canalla Thunder's supporters rose to their feet, but Teo Duardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Arnas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Arnulfo Celino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teo Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Arnas having to interfere.
