In the 27th minute Paulino Eriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Caetano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Bermund struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Sergio Lauro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Científico Fraga. Gerardo Laurgain charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 42 played minutes Club Científico Fraga got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Laurgain. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulino Eriz in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arsenio Caetano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Club Científico Fraga getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ubaldo Diegotxe hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Marquesado FC were awarded a corner. Enrique Otoniel went to the cornerflag to take it. The Marquesado FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Científico Fraga were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidio Bermund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Hernan Cefero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sergio Lauro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 54 minutes of play, Marquesado FC's Paulino Eriz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arsenio Caetano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hernan Cefero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sergio Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Cefero got free with Sergio Lauro in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ovidio Bermund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Científico Fraga's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Bermund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Lauro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergio Lauro made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Hernan Cefero sent off a good shot on target. If Ovidio Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Marquesado FC's zone, Ovidio Bermund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Lauro came out of the goal and Ovidio Bermund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergio Lauro stood somewhat misplaced when Ovidio Bermund came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 82 minute. Casimiro Ugaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arsenio Caetano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Ugaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Arsenio Caetano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Castulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Club Científico Fraga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
