The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Cefero got free with Ciriaco Polo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Club Científico Fraga's Hernan Cefero in 24 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ciriaco Polo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Leonides Nerio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Hernan Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Bernaldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arsenio Caetano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Hernan Cefero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Polo having to interfere. Arsenio Caetano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Elia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ovidio Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ovidio Bermund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Ovidio Bermund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Los Rompe Botas Fc getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Leonides Nerio hit a great ball. Paolo Ruisko hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Gaudencio Elia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arsenio Caetano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Gaudencio Elia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Caetano having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Científico Fraga's Gerardo Laurgain got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ciriaco Polo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Bermund in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Camilo Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Rompe Botas Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Bernaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Caetano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Elia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Arsenio Caetano made a huge save.
