Spectators: 6662 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nestor Oihan got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Brion in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Bernebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Virgilio Bernebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Lartaun in the 11th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Redondo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andres Baudelio. N. Chicago's Roberto Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Oihan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Lisandro Lartaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Bernebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Bernebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Lartaun in the 22nd minute of play. Roberto Brion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Bernebe having to interfere. Cosme Laurgain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Virgilio Bernebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rdth minute of the game Lisandro Lartaun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redondo AFC's Virgilio Bernebe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Brion couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Redondo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Laurgain came free, but Virgilio Bernebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lisandro Lartaun sped through Redondo AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Virgilio Bernebe. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Virgilio Bernebe came out of the goal and Lisandro Lartaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestor Oihan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonzalo Neto having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Baudelio in the 64th minute of play forced N. Chicago's goalkeeper Gonzalo Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Redondo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Ler to maneuver through the defense. When Roberto Brion came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the N. Chicago fans jumped to their feet. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Redondo AFC's Virgilio Bernebe got control of the ball when Roberto Brion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chicago fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when N. Chicago's Roberto Brion looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
